Preparing for LFW After Show Party

Us lucky people at the Fashion Mode office are being treated to an exclusive live acoustic set from an exciting and very gorgeous female solo artist this morning. She is also choosing from the our fabulous designers' collections so that she can look absolutely stunning while performing. Everything looks as though it's really coming together and we really can't wait for the actual night.
We can't relax yet though as we have a lot more to do in the two week run up to our shows. The Fashion Mode team are giving their all to ensure this season's catwalk show and after show party are perfect.

Classic Friday Night

So our wonderful director decided he would spoil us with an amazing dinner at McQueens. However as we are 3 girls we took a while getting ready. All crammed in the bathroom at once trying to make our selves even more beautiful, SMASH went Andrea's brand new chanel Foundation all over the floor. Which led to a scramble of who can get the most onto our face before it dried up. Of corse our wonderful Nick was there to get it all on camera.

We enjoyed a wonderful friday night having a wonderful dinner and a lot of alcohol.... well it was a friday!!

Make-up tests for LFW catwalk shows

Renowned make-up artist Jo Sugar came into the Fashion Mode office to test out make up looks for our fast approaching London Fashion Week shows. Zoe and I were only too happy to volunteer to be tested on!

Our creative director, Andrea Abraham, researched the 'yurei', a Japanese ghost for Florian Jayet's show. The models will look eerie, pale skin, dark eyes and smudged lips. Jo used her expertise to keep the look beautiful despite the frightening influences. Make-up was even airbrushed onto the hair through lace to create intricate patterns, which reflect some of the fabrics used in Florian's S/S 12 collection.

At the other end of the spectrum the make up for Carlotta's show couldn't be more different! Bright, vibrant  hues will pick out the colours from her S/S 12 collection. The reference to the traditional Geisha in Carlotta's concept has been given a modern twist. Jo managed to use exceptionally strong colour yet not let the look become too theatrical.
